EUROPEAN COACHING ASSOCIATION
Association of Professional Coaches in Europe
The European Coaching Association – ECA for short – was founded in Germany in 1994. It was the first professional association for coaching anywhere. Since then, the association has been an organisation representing the interests of professional coaches and teaching institutes for coaching, as well as qualified supervisors, mediators, trainers, consultants and professional partnerships (group practices) throughout Europe. Since its foundation the ECA has been setting standards for professional coaching as a solution, resource and target-oriented form of consultancy. From its beginnings as an exclusive service used only by top-level management, professional coaching has developed into a recognised form of consultancy for entrepreneurs, managers, teams, employees and private individuals with a desire to grow and develop. The ECA is a multi-methodological association with an occupational profile oriented towards humanistic-holistic philosophy, whose ethical foundations are accepted and recognised by our members.
